Manhandling and stripping of a health staff Basant Upadhyayof divisional railway hospital by divisional railway manager (DRM) just because he had requested his wife unknowingly to open slippers outside doctors chamber before entering in his chamber, has now become a big issue here with complaints reaching to railway minister demanding action against DRM.
The employee is now undergoing treatment at a private hospital following nerves breakdown since was stripped in office of DRM and was asked to leave office in that position.
The union of railway employees meanwhile, have demanded honouring the employee as he discharged his duty well without prejudice.
As news flashed, BJP leader Babulal Marandi tweeted to Rail. Minister and demanded action against the senior officer who manhandelled the staff. Even union minister of state for education Annapurna Devi had assured to raise this issue before the rail minister.
Yet in another move plain clothed personnel from RPF have been deployed outside the room of the under treatment railway employee in a private hospital and baring railway officers and victims family no one is allowed inside.
People are awaiting what action the railway takes against the senior officer.
