PDJ's speech makes NLA stirring, vibrant in Palamu

PNS

A 2 minute speech of the principal district and sessions judge (PDJ)  Niraj Kumar Srivastav at the civil court Palamu Daltonganj today in the National Lok Adalat and the battery of judges and judicial officers raced towards their 13 benches set up for the NLA to start the NLA job.

Sources said the PDJ knew every minute of the NLA should be for the use and benefit of the people and so he said 'start the bench' in no unequivocal tone and the fleet of officials soon got on to the task of the NLA.

The 2 minute speech of the principal district and sessions judge had more message and meat in his brief saying than any other longer speech on this occasion.

The PDJ in his most short speech said "Many people have come from remote and far off places to this NLA today. I ask the banks to come to their aid by waiving their interest and just go for the principal amount. Let other institutions lower down the compounding fee as far as possible. This will help the poor in a big way."

The PDJ's warm appeal for waiving of interest, reduction in the compounding fees etc was hailed by the poor like anything.

The NLA was inaugurated by a beneficiary, Poonam Kuarn, a widow. The PDJ  gave her a helping hand. The woman had no idea as to who the personality was with her.

There were many women in the NLA today and when they saw a faceless Poonam Kuarn lighting one of the 6 wicks of the inaugural lamp said with glee "This is real woman empowerment."
