Now professionals can pursue Masters in Business Administration (MBA) as a regular university student without leaving the current job . For such people ICFAI University launched part time MBA programme on Thursday.
This Part Time MBA is a two year campus based full time programme, but with classes in the evenings, to suit the convenience of working professionals.
“The learning needs of working professional are different from those of students that join an MBA immediately after graduation.
We shall approach andragogical (learning method for adults) for this course and will use methods like participative discussions, live projects and workshops for improving learning effectiveness,” said ICFAI Vice Chancellor (VC) ORS Rao.
Releasing the prospectus for part-time PhD programme in Management for academic year Ranchi University VC lN Bhagat who is also one of the Advisory Committee member of this institution said, “Our University is facing difficulty in providing doctorate degrees to prospective candidates within the stipulated time.”
“Candidates usually are not aware of research methodology because of which they fail get PhD even after 10 years. This is the reason I introduced M.Phil last year so that students can grab the basic research knowledge prior to appearing for doctorate,” Bhagat added.
“With an M.Phil, a candidate can apply for lectureship at a degree college whereas a Doctorate holder can teach as a lecturer at a post graduate department,” added Bhagat.
ICFAI had begun part time doctorate last year wherein all the 19 scholars are carrying out their research work successfully.
