Jharkhand-based parents of the bride and the groom missed their children's marriage in Indiana USA for the Coronavirus fear and suspension of the international flights between India and the USA.

The bride's father Anil Kumar Singh, Palamu district reproductive child health officer, said their daughter Anila Shree got married to Arpit Kumar in the Indiana temple of the USA on December 11.

He said he and his wife Renu Raman could not travel to the USA because of the suspension of the international flights between India and the USA.

Singh said the parents of the groom Arpit Kumar who are Delhi based too missed their presence in this Indiana temple marriage which  was an arranged marriage and the families of the two bride and groom had  both decided unanimously not to delay it any more.

Singh said his son Anikeya Aditya lives in Indiana USA.  The bride Anila and groom Arpit are in the prestigious universities there. Anila is in Notre Dame University while Arpit in the University of California  Santa Cruz.

Singh said they have a mixed feeling of joy and pain. They are joyful that their daughter is married but their hearts ache for not being there in the Indiana temple of the USA during the marriage ceremony which was conducted in strict adherence to the Hindu rituals.

He said the Indiana authorities there in the USA permitted ten guests only five each from the bride and groom sides

This Coronavirus around the world has restrained both the families from joining Indiana temple marriage ceremony but back here in India these two families rewind the ceremony they watched on the laptops, said an emotionally-packed Singh.
