Panki BJP MLA Shashibhushan Mehta now faces an FIR. Manatu BDO Sunil Prakash had lodged a written complaint against Panki BJP MLA Shashibhushan Mehta with the Manatu police station.
It was on September 2, 2022 that the Manatu police registered this complaint as FIR bearing number 23/22.
Officer in charge of the Manatu police station Pawan Kumar Yadav has confirmed the lodging of the FIR against the BJP MLA Mehta on September 2 under around a dozen sections of the IPC and under one section of the I-T act.
According to the complainant Sunil Prakash the MLA Mehta had stormed into his residence some months ago along with his thirty to forty supporters and created a bedlam in his residence where he and his brother were pushed and humiliated.
Sunil Prakash said the MLA created ugly scenes in his residence without any provocation and he was accused of drinking wine which he rubbished.
The complainant said it was not he only to complain as the entire lot of the Manatu block and circle offices were up in arms against the MLA Mehta for his extremely rude behaviour to one and all.
The BJP MLA Mehta declined to make any comment on this development. The MLA said he would hold his press conference where he would unfold the entire facts about the episode.
