Palamu's primitive tribal women ignored for Mahila Adhikar Utsav?

PNS

The women of the primitive tribes groups (PTG)of Palamu are not any luckier to go to Ranchi this October 20 to be a part of the gathering for Mahila Adhikar Utsav in Khelgaon.

Palamu administration has no idea if women of the PTG will be going to Ranchi. When asked by the Pioneer if the PTG would be joining the bandwagon of women for October 20 from here the DC Palamu Kirpa Nand Jha said ' This suggestion is good and immediately asked his officer sitting on his right to do the needful.

The PTGs are Birjeeya, Nageshiya, Asur, Korwa in Palamu and their total population is not more than 12,000 here in this district. These denied women of PTGs are most hut centricand seldom leave home and children. No body knows if the PTGs women will be any part of the women contingent. Their look is shabby, their hair remains uncombed and a kind of fetid body odour make these PTG women a detestable commodity said one social activist A Zaman with whom nonewants to sit with.

People who would like to go to Ranchi/ Aurangabad in Bihar on October 20 will have to re draw their journey as roads here will be free of buses since administration is to requisition 76 buses on October 20 for this women show in Ranchi and with this requisition of buses public transportation thisday is all set to collapse a fact not denied by the DC K N Jha.

More than 16 lakhs of rupees are expected to come as expenditure for providing free transportation to and from ( Daltonganj to Ranchi and back) food, water, etc.

Palamu's target is to send in 3,000 women and the major bulk is to come from Agan Badi Sewikas ( 1,000) Sahaiyakas (1,0000) Sahheeyas ((1,000)women mukhiyas ( 150) women panchayat samiti member (150 ) etc.

The administration is toying with the idea to provide I Tag to women going to Ranchi. Officers of the ADM rank will be on the watch of this women's pilgrimage to Adhikar Utsav in Ranchi.
