PNS

: Mukhiya Mantri Krishi Ashirvad Yojna (MMKAY) spurs officials in Palamu to meet the deadline of its finalisation in form of draft publication of land ownership document holders by February 28. In a Press briefing here today DC Palamu Shantanu Kumar Agrahari said a massive work is on for the purpose. He said 4,50,000 pre informed notices are to be served to an equal number of khatiyan holders and this work has taken off since January 15 itself and 40,000 notices have so far been served.

DC said the remaining ones would be served by January 20.

Agrahari said on January 21 there will be a raiyyat co ordination committee meeting here in Palamu. It will be held in all the 1912 villages. It will be conducted on just one day across the district DC reiterated.

In this raiyyat co ordination committee meeting the officials would entertain complaints and claims both he added.

Agrahari said the complaints will be with regard to the  genuineness of the khatiyan holders as there are cases where a khatiyan holder lives far away and his farming is done by others in that even if a claim comes it will be looked into right in the meeting of the raiyyats itself.

The DC said under this MMKAY  5,000 rupees will go into the account of the real and genuine farmer who does kheti baree but this investment of 5,000 rupees will not entitle the farmer to make any other undue claim or title over the land that e so tills.

The DC added none should be in any illusion that once a beneficiary of 5,000 rupees for khariff crop means a regular push of the same every year. DC said this is payable only when the farming is done in right earnest.

Lauding this MMKAY DC said this 5,000 rupees assistance will restore the dignity of farming and further it will give an impetus to farming.

There is an agriculture census data of 2015 -16 here with this district but the administration wants a flawless preparation of data base of all eligible khatiyan holders.

The raiyyat co ordination committee meeting is a type of cleansing of dubious people having false claim to be doing farming.  Agrahari said the district administration is all set to ready a puee data base of khatiyan holders.

When a newsman put an analogy of this work with the election work DC nodding in affirmation said” This is like that of election work where we do addition, deletion of names of voters likewise here for our data base there will be addition and deletion of names of khatiyan holders.

There will be no cash down but a straight transfer into the accounts of the khatiyan holder repeated DC to alert khatiyan holders not to fall in any trap of any middlemen for this.
