The hospitals of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) have touched another milestone in the fight against Covid-19. By Sunday, more than 1,250 Covid-19 patients were discharged from these hospitals after recovering from the infection.
Then Chairman cum Managing Director, Gopal Singh had announced that the company will extend its full support to the State Government in fight against Covid-19. He had announced that two central hospitals of the company situated at Gandhinagar, Ranchi and Ramgarh would admit Corona positive patients to provide them treatment.
These patients were being treated by the team of doctors and supported by paramedical staff of the hospital. Before their discharge the doctors advised the patients on the different precautionary measures, they must undertake for their safety at home.
The medical team led by CCL CMS, Dr Manju Mishra CCL and Ramgarh CMS VK Singh at Gandhinagar Hospital and Ramgarh Hospital and their entire team are playing a significant role in treating Coronavirus patients.
Mishra informed that all the necessary protocols and advisories issued by the Government are being followed in these cases. All the required facilities like oxygen support, ambulance etc are available in these hospitals, she added.
It must be noted that the company had started its preparation to deal with the crisis since early March. With the support of the State Government and stakeholders and the medical team of the company which is successfully executing its duty.
CMS Ramgarh, Singh informed that the company is providing completely free of cost treatment facility to the Covid-19 positive patients and till the date 564 positive cases admitted at Ramgarh Hospital out of which 545 were discharged after getting treatment from here. He further said that apart from medicines the company is also providing them a good nutritious diet to the patients free of cost.
Since the end of June testing of Corona cases also started at Gandhinagar Hospital and in the end of July at Ramgarh Hospital. The company has installed ‘Rapid Antigen Test’ system at their hospital so that the result could be available in an hour.
In addition to CCL Gandhinagar Hospital, other three central hospitals of the Company are ready to deal with both the suspected and confirmed cases of highly contagious virus. These hospitals of CCL have beds with assured oxygen support, basic life support Ambulances with sufficient oxygen support 24 x 7 and other facilities.
