More than 1000 active cases were found and 10 persons died due to Covid-19 in a day at HMCH and other private hospitals in the district on Thursday. Now the total death in the district has reached 79. The total active cases have reached 2777.
The maximum active cases were found in the municipal areas of the town, 54 in sadar block, 20 in Bishnugarh, 19 in Barkagaon, 16 in Choparan, 12 in Churchu, 10 in Ichak and Katkamsandi.
The important persons who died due to Coron including former Home Science head Dr. Sabita Sahay and History Iftekhar Alam of Vinoba Bhave University, Joint secretary of Bar association Rajesh Kumar Bakshi, State secretary of Sanskar Bharti and Congress leader Krishan Kumar Sharma and from different blocks of the district in Medical College and Hospital, life care hospital and other nursing homes.
Social activists and different political parties have issued the helpline number for the help of Covid patients in the district.
District administration has deputed a large number of forces on the different crossing and in the main road in the town. The administration has appointed an incident commander to follow the term and condition of lockdown.
