Oraon to stress on overall development of Bishunpur

MUKJESH RANJAN

Samir Oraon, the BJP candidate from extremism torn Bishunpur constituency of Gumla will focus on all round development of the area if elected as an MlA from the seat. Oraon, who has jumped into the fray banking on his ‘karma’ (deeds), is confident of getting the blessings of the people of his constituency on the polling day.

“I am thinking on the idea of overall development as people of the area till date have been denied even the basic amenities like road, water or electricity  as well as lack of irrigation facilities by the earlier governments,” said Oraon. Alleging the constraints of coalition government for underdevelopment in the state, he said that people have made up their minds for a stable government, which only BJP is capable of providing.

Calling himself fortunate enough for not interrupted by the CPI (Maoist), Oraon does not see Naxalism as a threat for him. “I do not care for anything and am working wholeheartedly for forming a stable government in the state. Once a BJP government is formed, this constituency itself will also get a taste of development,” added Oraon.

The former MlA calling Modi as an crucial factor during the polls, expressed confidence that the flow of development poured by him in the Country will definitely reach his constituency benefitting even to the last person of the social strata.

He further said that the people of Jharkhand this time have already made up their mind to form a BJP government in the state as they are confident that only BJP can bring in development in the state. “As the BJP has given this state to this Country, no other than BJP can think for its welfare like a father does for his son in real life,” said Oraon. If there will be a BJP government in the state, it will work in tandem with the centre.

Oraon is taking on the JMM candidate Chamra linda as his main rival, who is also the sitting MlA from the constituency while Congress has filed Boby Bhagat as its candidate from Bishunpur.

Contesting from Sasai Assembly seat of Gumla from BJP ticket, Oraon had defeated his immediate rival Shahi Kant Bhagat of Congress party from a margin of 643 votes during 2005 Assembly elections.
