Health services continued to be severely affected across the Bokaro district in urban and rural health centers for the second consecutive day at on Thursday as contractual staffs went on indefinite strike in demand of regularization of their service and over equal pay for equal work at Bokaro.
The strike affected laboratory tests, vaccination, Physiotherapy, X-ray, malnutrition besides daily work at health centers in the district. Ranjan Verma a resident of Bagda village of Kasmar said, it was with great difficulty she was able to reach the health center while suffering from high fever but was disappointed as no staff was there to attend his wife due to strike.
