The Pro Vice Chancellor of the Nilamber Pitamber university A N Ojha today Monday inspected the proposed site at Tikulya mouja on NH 75 where the university has proposed to construct its administrative building and other infrastructure.
Ojha is the third Pro Vice Chancellor of this university and joined his new assignment here as Pro VC this Saturday .
The university is barely four years old and has seen three Pro VCs. Ojha is right on the job and his hands are full of problems plaguing this university. He was accompanied by the dean students’ welfare Rana Pratap Singh.
This April 21, the university officials came to this site for land measurement and demarcation which was disrupted by a gathering of 200 people then on the plea that the villagers had no intimation of this measurement of land and if their land so goes to the university the Government has not paid them compensation.
Along with the team of revenue department officials visited the site but in the wake of the resistance put up then by the villagers no measurement of this plot of land could be done. Palamu administration has given a little over 15 acres in the first phase. Its title ownership is now with the university.
The administration is to give 27 acres more out of which 7 acres of the land here are of inter departmental transfer nature.
Ojha directed the accompanying dean students’ welfare Rana Pratap Singh to prepare a detailed report of the April 21 episode to be sent to the deputy commissioner Palamau and also to the HRD department in Ranchi.
