NPU gears up for International Yoga Diwas

PNS

The Vice-Chancellor of Nilamber Pitamber University, Satyendera Narain Singh, on Thursday inspected the venue selected for the June 21 International Yoga Diwas. The venue is the Green Shed of the YSN Mahila College, Daltonganj.

Singh has asked the professor incharge of the college Mohini Gupta to take all steps to make this yoga Day  a great success.  VC further asked Gupta to send in the estimated expenditure for the conduct of the yoga diwas.

Singh saw the Green Shed and asked for adequate and proper fan and cooler facility there. He inquired about the snacks to which Gupta said tea and biscuit will be served. Jars of purified cold water are kept for the yoga performers.

A master yoga trainer has been roped in for than less than 2 hour show. There would come up a stage with sound facility. No yoga performer is to come with his/her sheet of cloth. Virgin white sheet will be spread over for the performers.

VC Singh said common and easy yoga exercises which is easy to understand and perform will be exhibited / performed. VC looked enthusiastic about this international yoga diwas here and appealed to teachers and students to take part in it whole heartedly.

A couple of third and fourth grade staff of this college pleaded with the VC that they have been in service over the last 25 to 35 years and now the government is looking for if their post is sanctioned or not.  Singh gave them a patient hearing and said the university is aware of this.  VC’s patient hearing and positive notes cheered up the staff. Gupta apprised the VC that 6 rooms built need some finer touches but the contractor is just buying time. She also told the VC that the university has to pay huge amount to this contractor. VC asked her to write to the contractor to start work again failing which due legal course may be applied in this case.
