Member of the newly constituted State Development Council Surjit Singh Bhalla would be visiting the State next week to attend possibly the inaugural consultation of the Chief Minister headed forum. The noted economist along with former Deputy Chief Minister and AJSU party leader Sudesh Mahto has been named in May only in the Council formed previous year by the Cabinet.Talking to The Pioneer over phone from Delhi the former member of the Working Group formed for 11th Five Year Plan by the erstwhile Planning Commission in 2006, Bhalla said his association with the State Government was not full-time in nature.“There is nothing like joining the State Development Council there in Ranchi. I would be travelling in and out to hold consultations. I am most likely to visit the State this month, more precisely by next week,” said Bhalla during his first interaction since his appointment.
