As per the weather bulletin released by Ranchi MET observatory centre on Sunday, the rise in temperature recorded in the past few days is likely to continue with no prediction of rainfall lashing the capital city or other adjoining areas. The temperature is expected to soar somewhere between 38 degree Celsius to 40 degree Celsius for the next few two days.

“The dry weather condition will continue for the next two to three days with no sign of instant relief. The temperature in Ranchi is likely to be around 40 degree Celsius. Due to the influence of westerly disturbance, there is no cloud formation and moisture supply, hence temperature will reel under 38 degree Celsius to 41 degree Celsius here in Capital City,” said Senior Scientist, Ranchi MET Observatory Centre, RS Sharma.

Also, as per the prediction of Ranchi MET Observatory Centre only after April 25, thunderstorm activities will be recorded at a few parts of the State especially covering Santhal Paragana belt—Gooda, Dumka, Deogarh, Jamatara, Sahebganj and Pakur. “The influence of light rain and thunderstorms recorded in Santhal Paragana belts will be felt in the other parts of regions of the State bringing the mercury level down for a few days,” Sharma further added.

On Sunday, the capital city recorded maximum 38 degree Celsius with minimum 25.3 degree Celsius. Jamshedpur registered maximum 38 degree Celsius whereas Daltonganj reeled under 40.7 degree Celsius. According to the experts, the dry weather condition will prevail in the month of April with no sign of heavy downpour in any part of Jharkhand.
