Hazaribag Municipal Corporation has issued an order that the construction of houses without prior consent of the corporation will not be allowed in the corporation area. Those houses that had been already constructed without getting cleared from the master plan, have to pass the master plan from the corporation as early as possible. A team has been constituted for checking the master plan in the corporation areas.

In a meeting with the board members it was discussed that there are maximum houses in the town area that had been constructed without a house plan, resulting in a huge revenue loss to the corporation.

The members had decided that in future the construction of houses will not be allowed without passing the master plan from the corporation. This will also be implemented on the already constructed houses. The corporation has given the time period to such already constructed houses, otherwise legal action will be taken on such houses.

For the proper implementation of the order, town commissioner Prerna Dixit has constituted a team to check the under construction houses whether they have been working according to the master plan or not. If they are not working according to the master plan the work must be stopped immediately.

The town commissioner, trainee IAS Shatabdi Majumdar along with team members started the checking drive from Wednesday. Those houses that were being constructed without a master plan, the work stopped by them.

The team visited the under construction apartments, hotels and houses in different locations, they have instructed the concerned engineers that first they passed the master plan from the corporation.

The builder must be attentive on open space, drainage plan, rain water harvesting system, fire approval, builders registration and must follow the rule and regulation of Jharkhand Building Act 2016.
