Congress party legislator from Barkagaon Nirmala Devi has filed a complaint case in Hazaribagh CJM court in which she had made the district and block officials accused of giving firing order and misbehaving with her. In her statement before the court she has alleged that CM Raghuvar Das is the person behind all the untoward incidents that took place last year in Barkagaon.
Nirmala Devi, wife of Ex-Minister Yogendra Sao had launched Kafan satyagrah near Chirudih coal mine of NTPC in favour of the land owners last year. She and her followers were arrested by the police when they blocked the road going towards mine site. When the police team was returning to Barkagaon a clash between her supporters and police took place. In this clash police opened fire and four persons had lost their lives.
MlA Nirmala Devi has also made the Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh, police Superintendent of Hazaribagh, ASP Barkagaon, DSP Barkagaon, Inspector Barkagaon, OIC Barkagaon, Director DRDA, CO Barkagaon and others posted at that time as accused in this case. In her statement she has said that they all were working as puppets of CM Raghuvar Das and not only brutally beat her and the followers but also misbehaved with her, though they were aware that she is elected peoples representative of that area.
After recording her statement CJM Richa Srivastava’s court directed the police to file an FIR as per her complaint. On Thursday when she came to record her statement in Hazaribagh court a good number of her followers and congressmen were present in the court campus.
