Chairman’s Trophy for Young Managers Competition
The final round of 18th Chairman’s Trophy for Young Managers Competition of SAIL was organized at Management Training Institute (MTI), Ranchi on Wednesday. Six teams from Bokaro Steel Plant, Bhilai Steel Plant, Durgapur Steel Plant, IISCO Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant & Centre for Engineering & Technology participated in this final round from an initial list of 27 teams. This was the first time after a gap of two years that this competition was organized in physical mode at MTI. The team from Bhilai Steel Plant was adjudged as Winners while the teams from CET, Ranchi and ISP, Burnpur were declared as the 1st Runners up and 2nd Runners up respectively. Anirban Dasgupta, Director I/c, BSP, V S Chakravarthy, Director (Commercial), SAIL and Prof Vijaya Dixit, Associate Professor, IIM, Ranchi were the members of the selection panel for this final round. Sanjeev Kumar, CGM (HRD) with addl charge of ED (HRD) delivered the welcome address while Atanu Mukherjee, GM I/c (Acad) with addl charge of CGM (HRD) proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was steered by Saurabh Singh, GM (CHRD), MTI.
DRT recovers over Rs 91.00 L of Canara Bank
The Debt Recovery Tribunal, Ranchi has successfully recovered more than Rs. 91.00 lakhs by initiating recovery process under Debt Recovery and Bankruptcy Act. Under the guidance of Hitesh Goel, General Manager, Canara Bank Ranchi along with the consistent efforts of the Legal section, Circle Office Ranchi. Recovery Officer of Debt Recovery Tribunal, Kanhaiya Kumar, took possession of the property mortgaged by the borrowers for recovery of the bad loans outstanding for several years. The amount has been recovered by selling the properties by way of conducting public auction. The recovery has been made from such debtors who have failed to repay the loan for a number of years and on the request of the bank, the process of recovery has been taken against them by the Tribunal. On May 25, the recovery officer handed over the cheques of more than Rs.91.00 lakhs to the Legal officer of Canara Bank.
DPS Ranchi holds Aptitude Test
Delhi Public School Ranchi conducted Aptitude Test Phase 01 (session 2022 – 23) on 26th May 2022 for the candidates who are aspiring to take admission in Class XI in the school. Around 4,000 applicants reached the examination Centre (Delhi Public School Ranchi) along with their admit cards. Earlier, the applicants had got all the information regarding the examination pattern, time duration of the test, syllabus for all the streams (Science, Commerce and Humanities) from the school’s official website. Apart from this, the school also organised a brainstorming session for the parents of the applicants of Class XI. The session was graced by the Principal Dr Ram Singh.
SCS celebrates Gautam Buddha jayanti.
To commemorate the birth and enlightenment of Gautam Buddha, students of Surendranath Centenary School celebrated Gautam Buddha Jayanti with utmost veneration and sanctity. On this occasion students of classes 6 to 8 presented a skit on the story of Angulimal and Lord Buddha. Students also showcased their talent in the form of beautiful paintings on Lord Buddha Principal Samita Sinha in her message motivated the children to practice the preaching of Lord Buddha in their life.
