ECR GM chairs official language meeting
Rajbhasha Pakhwada-2021 is being organised by East Central Railway from 14th September to 24th September. In this episode, 71st meeting of Regional Railway Official Language Implementation Committee was held on Thursday at Headquarters, Hajipur under the chairmanship of General ManagerAnupam Sharma. Presiding over the meeting, the GM did a thorough review of the promotion of official language and said that the use and spread of official language Hindi in ECR is satisfactory, however many more works have to be done.
New Additional GM of SER
Atulya Sinha took over the charge of Additional General Manager, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach, Kolkata on Thursday. Prior to taking over the charge of Additional GM, SER, Sinha was Chief Workshop Engineer, Eastern Railway. Sinha, IRSME (Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers) of 1986 batch joined Indian Railways in the capacity of Assistant Mechanical Engineer, South Central Railway in the year 1988. Sinha is a Mechanical & Production Engineer with Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) as well as Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK). He has worked in various important capacities.
Workshop on psychosocial support
A one-day workshop on ''Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for Children who Need care and Protection (CNCP) during COVID-19" was organised by the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) Ranchi, a Nodal Organisation of CHILDLINE, Ranchi in collaboration with the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi on Wednesday. Dr Sanjay Verma, Coordinator CHILDLINE, Ranchi, Dr Nishant Goyal from CIP, Dr Anant Kumar, Associate Professor, XISS, Dr. Madhumita, CIP were the main speakers of the workshop. Legal aspects such as Integration of MHPSS in case management case demonstration, children who need special care & attention and prevention and management of children with suffered sexual abuse were also discussed during the workshop.
Unity Run organized by RPF, Ranchi
Railway Protection Force Ranchi Division, under the weekly program of its 37th Foundation Day, organized a two-kilometer run under Ekta Run ("RUN FOR UNITY") on 23 September 2021 in Hatia Railway Colony, which was started from Railway Protection Force Hatia Post, Divisional Security Commissioner Prashant Yadav, Assistant Security Commissioner Ranchi and Assistant Security Commissioner Muri were also present on this occasion, in the said race, members of Railway Protection Force Ranchi and Hatia participated. Ekta run was also organized in various police stations, outposts and other units of Ranchi division in which women officers and jawans participated.
Blood Donation Camp at MNPS
A Blood Donation Camp was organised on Thursday at Motilal Nehru Public School ( MNPS) which was inaugurated by Dr Mandar M. Shah – head consultant & HOD (TMH) and Dr Vanita Pandey (Oncopathologist) HOD, Pathology, MTMH. A total of 61 units of blood were collected at the camp. A team of doctors from Jamshedpur Blood Bank under the guidance of Dr. Rita Sinha, Medical Officer, Jamshedpur Blood Bank, helped in carrying out the blood donation. During this pandemic there is an acute crisis of blood and therefore, the need for active participation in donation at this time. Dr. Mandar M. Shah and Dr. Vanita Pandey supported and congratulated the institution for organising this camp every year, this being the 23rd consecutive year. V.S. Rana, chairman, school managing committee congratulated parents and students for donating blood and expressed happiness about the school’s involvement in such community initiatives.
JSLPS, Indian Bank ink MoU
Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society and Indian Bank signed an MoU for financial inclusion of members of Sakhi Mandal. The MoU was signed by Nancy Sahay, Chief Executive Officer and Amarendra Kumar Shahi, Area General Manager, Indian Bank, Patna at the State Office of JSLPS. This initiative will prove to be helpful in connecting the organization of rural women in the state with credit linkage under financial inclusion.
