The team formed to verify the documents of TET pass teachers will submit the report on August 31 to DSEs following which approximately 17,000 primary school teachers, recruited in November 2015, would start getting paid. The teachers are working without salary for the last eight months in since their documents are awaiting verification.
“The salaries of the newly-appointed TET qualified teachers will begin from September 5, after the verification of documents submitted by the candidates are complete. The team is about to complete the verification work,” said a senior official of the Department of School Education and literacy.
The department in order to expedite the verification work had directed to stop salaries to those DSEs who have failed to complete it on time. Few districts like East Singhbhum, Pakur, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad have released the salary of the teachers after submitting the verified documents but still most of other districts are continuing with the process.
“The process of verifying the documents is almost complete. As per the instructions issued by the Department of School Education and literacy, all the dues will be cleared soon. On the occasion of Teachers Day, salaries of the teachers will be started in all the 24 districts,” said, DSE Ranchi, Shivendra Kumar.
Recently, delay in verification created stir among the teachers and as a result few of them even protested against it in the capital city. In the first phase, 5,000 verification was done and in the second phase, 12,000 newly recruitments created row over fake certificates. All the DSEs were supposed to submit the details on or before July 15 but most of them had failed to complete the procedure in the stimulated time.
“As of now, we have not received any complaints or fake certificates degree holders from Ranchi District. However, only after completing the investigation procedure the complete status will be revealed. Instruction has been issued to DSEs and final report will be tabled soon,” added, School Education and literacy, Secretary, Aradhana Patnaik.
Taking stringent action against the fake degree holders, the names of such teachers will be uploaded on the DSE website after the preliminary investigation is complete, added Kumar.
