Newly appointed Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) In Charge, Avinash Pandey along with JPCC Co-Incharge, Umang Singhar reached the State Capital on Saturday on his three day visit to Jharkhand. Incidentally, former Education Minister of the State from Congress party, Geetashri Oraon resigned from the preliminary membership of the party, blaming that the government is ignoring locals in policy decisions.
Pandey and Singhar received warm welcome by the JPCC leaders and the party workers on their arrival at the Birsa Munda Airport in the State Capital. This is the first visit of the newly appointed Party Co Incharge of the State. At Gitanjali Banquet Hall a welcome meeting was organized by the State Congress Committee where almost all party seniors, leaders, MPs, Ministers in the State Government, some MLAs and a large numbers of the party workers of the party were present.
Pandey also attended Congress Legislature Party meeting in the evening, which held in leadership of Congress Legislature Party Leader and Rural Development Minister, Alamgir Alam where all Minister of the party in the State Government including former JPCC Chief, and Finance Minister, Rameshwar Oraon, Health Minister, Banna Gupta and Agriculture Minister, Badal were present along with the party MLAs.
In these three days Pandy will try to know the condition of the organization in Jharkhand. He will try to get information about the party’s organisation in the State after meeting with the party leaders, workers, presidents' of various fronts. He will also be present in the legislative party meeting on January 29. There will also be talks on the activities of the State Government in the meeting.
After RPN Singh, who was the party's State In-charge, joined the BJP, the party high command gave the responsibility of the State in-charge to Pandey.
On January 30, Pandey will hold a meeting with the all district chiefs, MPs, MLAs, former MPs, working presidents, presidents of leading front organization, district supervisors of Jan Jagran Abhiyan, district in-charge of membership campaign. At 2:00 am on the day, together with people coming from different districts, they will get information on the activities of the organization, after that, on January 31, he will hold meeting at 10:30 am in the State guest house, Morhabadi, the national level office bearers, in-charges and in-charges of All India Congress Committee and leading front organizations from Jharkhand state and senior Congress persons.
