NDA Govt sensitive towards people’s issues: BJP

PNS

State BJP unit has lauded the Centre and the State Government for reducing taxes on fuel which has led to fall in prices of petrol and diesel by around five rupees in the State.

Addressing media persons at the party’s office, State General Secretary Deepak Prakash claimed the BJP Government at the Centre and State were working for public welfare and their administration was sensitive towards problems faced by people.

Prakash said that the rising prices of crude oil in the international market have caused the hike in the fuel prices in the State.

He added that economists have also stated that increase is also due to strengthening of dollar in comparison to rupees.

He stated that during the UPA rule the then government was compensating the petroleum products with subsidies but it led to the weakening of the economy adding that Modi led government at the Centre removed the subsidy burden on the people.

He said the revenue collected by the centre and the state government as taxes is being used in implementing public welfare schemes for the poor, farmers and the rural areas.

Making a comparison between NDA and the UPA rule, the general secretary asserted that the UPA rule witnessed a 100 per cent increase in fuel prices.

“When the NDA came to power the petrol price was Rs  80 but it was brought down to Rs  62 over a period of time.  Further steps would be taken by the union government to keep the fuel prices under control,” he said.

He stated that NDA policies have positive impact on the economy.

At a time when the international factors have hit the economy of several countries, India is registering a high growth rate while its economy is also strong.

The state spokesman Pratul Sahdeo and media in-charge Shiv Pujan Pathak were also present in the media briefing.
