Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra Hazaribagh launched the much needed awareness campaign supported by Childline India foundation, Mumbai, in Chauparan and nearby areas of the district. NBJKs childline sub-center Chauparan initiated the campaign in the district through a week long program called “Childline se Dosti” which concluded on last Sunday. Childline team members have contacted people, collected their signatures in favor of Child Rights, distributed informative handbills and briefed them about the program. Also they clasped designer wristbands with message about this campaign.
On 14th November i.e. childern’s day this campaign was launched at lok Nayak Jai Prakash Eye Hospital, Bahera, Chauparan. Many eye patients and carers, doctors and hospital staffs took part in this program. Gandharv Gaurav Program Director, Eye Care graced the occasion and supported this initiative for a safe childhood. On 15th, Childline team contacted the Auto drivers at Chatra Auto Stand, Chouparan. They were facilitated towards the right of children and Childline1098. Handbills and wristbands were distributed among the auto drivers and passengers.
Childline Se Dosti campaign was held at Barhi block and Sub-divisional hospital on 16th in which many government officers like BDO, CO, CDPO, doctors and police inspector as well as visitors have been contacted over the issue of Child Rights. On 17th, Childline team reached Orphanage School, Barhi, met the children and teachers and talked about this friendship campaign.
Administrative offices and officers of Chouparan block were contacted on 18th November under the campaign while students of Government Primary School, Bedhnabara, Chouparan interacted with Childline team and heard the message carefully. They organized a cultural program to welcome the initiative on 19th. The campaign concluded on Sunday 20th November at Kendua More Auto Stand, Chouparan, where common people and transporters were sensitized upon Child Rights and about use of Childline1098.
The team was led by Veerendra Sinha of NBJKs childline sub-ceenter Chauparan. Narayan Rajak, Maya Mishra, Poonam Devi and Navratan Pandey were the other members of the team.
