Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani congratulated Nishu Kumari. She had invented wind-powered rural air cooler earning the title 'Daughter of Jharkhand'. Nishu has been selected for Japan visit under 'Sakura Exchange Programme'.

"Nishu Kumari, a budding technocrat and a class X student of Jamshedpur, who has been selected to visit Japan by the Government of India under 'Sakura Exchange Program' visited my office at Ranchi on Tuesday. I was away in Delhi. But my office felicitated her on my behalf," said Nathwani.

Kumari converted the basic idea of using a fan and running water on mattress to control heat in summer to prepare a wind-powered rural air cooler. The low-cost cooler will be very useful in rural areas facing poor electricity facility. Her visit to Japan will provide a unique exposure and bring out the best in the girl with scientific temperament.

"I was impressed by the scientific temperament of a girl student at this age, particularly when she belongs to a family with very humble background. I did write about it on Facebook few days back. Then I wrote a small letter to her lauding her achievement and provided a token incentive to support her trip to Japan. Congratulations, Nishu Kumari. All the best to you," he added.
