District administration is all set to launch mobile vaccination from June 1 in Dhanbad for the age group of 45 plus.
The mobile vaccination team would do on spot registration for this and the vaccine vial would be opened only when 10 persons would be registered, according to a district administration press release.
This step of opening of vaccine vial in the presence of 10 persons is a step to contain wastage of vaccine that has been reported much higher in Jharkhand than national average.
All other protocols of vaccination would be followed during the mobile vaccination drive.
The vaccination would be done at two urban locations on opening day. Deputy Commissioner US Singh the facility will be launched at Sadar Hospital and the second team of vaccinators would work in the Jharia area.
The main target is to complete the second round of vaccination of people above 45 years of age, who are eligible for the second dose of vaccine.
However, it’s not clear when the vaccination for 18-44 age group would commence. This vaccination remains suspended since last five days due to shortage of vaccine.
