MLA gives privilege notice against BBMKU Vice Chancellor

PNS

The controversy of not inviting people's representatives during convocation and building inauguration by the Vice Chancellor of Binod Behari Mahto Koylanchal ( BBMKU) deepened further with Gomia MLA Lambadar Mahto having given a privilege notice against the VC .

Mahto in a letter to the speaker of Jharkhand assembly mentioned in his letter of breach of privilege of peoples representatives epically Sindri MLA Indrajeet Mahto who was neither invited for.convocation  nor his name appeared on the plaque of building inauguration though the upcoming building of the university falls in Sindri Assembly .

Mahto claims it's a deliberate attempt of the Vice Chancellor to demean the prestige and privilege of MLA  as well as against  the guidelines issued by the State government.

The Gomia MLA has requested from the Speaker to take necessary action against BBMKU VC so that the prestige of peoples representatives is saved and remains intact.

It's worth mentioning here that during the first convocation of the university the authorities invited only the Dhanbad MP and MLA for both the functions . Though the jurisdiction of BBMKU  happens ro be Dhanbad and Bokaro districts no other people's representatives were either informed or invited for both functions .

In another move  new registrar Vikash Kumar appointed by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission is likely to join here tomorrow.

Kumar's appointment though was done by commission two months ago but he was not allowed to join BBMKU  authorities  for obvious reasons.
