The MlA of Barkagaon Yogendra Sao on Thursday distributed the papers of annual benefits among 25 displaced families of NTPC coal mining projects in a function organised at Kusumbha village. In the payment package NTPC had assured the displaced that the company will give the families a fixed amount annually for next 30 years.
Director NTPC NN Mishra in his address informed the displaced that the company has arranged this facility with the help of life Insurance Corporation of India and every year the displaced families will get their fixed amount through their lIC accounts.
The process is on and very soon all the displaced families will be included under this umbrella, he added. After this program the director and other officers of NTPC sat with the village local body representatives of the affected areas and tried to know the problems of their area.
Mishra assured the people representatives that NTPC will do its best for the betterment of the area and is committed to help the displaced.
