Saryu Roy, Minister Food and Supply Department lauded the efforts of Rotarians in eliminating Polio from the country. He was speaking at a function to mark the culmination of a rally at the Bistupur Clock Tower to commemorate the World Polio Day.
Rotarians of all seven Rotary Clubs of Jamshedpur— RC Jamshedpur, Jamshedpur East, West, Midtown, Steel City, Dalma and Femina had joined the rally to support World End Polio Movement and to take the pledge to continue to strive for the cause till the disease is eradicated from the world.
Present on the occasion were renowned paediatrician and Pulse Polio coordinator B.R Master , Mr. Sanjeev Thakur— Rotary District Chair Of Public image, Ronald D Costa, Dr Bharat, regional secretary, Amresh Sinha, Alakananda Bakshi , Supti Kanaujia and nearly 130 Rotarians .
Dr. Master briefed everyone about the disease, it’s impact, and how India and other countries became Polio free and how important it is to eradicate the disease from the world.
