Saryu Roy on the day sought officials against vacant posts from Department of Personnel, so that the difficulties of execution of plans due to lack of officials could be get away with. He asked the Department of Personnel Principal Secretary Nidhi Khare that apart from 16 DSOs, his department was suffering with shortage of Special, Joint and Under Secretary level officers which kept hampering progress of important plans. He however said later that Khare assured him of providing required number of officials soon.
