Failing to reach out to the family members of the deceased Kamlesh Munda, Food and Civil Supplies Minister lobin Hembrom has summoned Ramgarh DC Abu Imran to his office seeking a detailed report on the matter. Munda died on Thursday reportedly due to hunger and lack of medical aid in Betul village under Gola Block in Ramgarh. Hembrom was to visit the family of Munda on Sunday, which was cancelled due to unknown reasons.
“On the basis of the findings in the report brought by the Ramgarh DC, proper arrangements will be made for the family members of Munda so that such things dos not get repeated in future,” said a close aide of Hembrom.According to him, the matter has been taken seriously by the Minister who has decided to monitor the situation personally.
Meanwhile, Ramgarh DC Abu Imran, talking to the media persons on Saturday has accepted that the youth died due to negligence on the part of the district administration. Taking a swift action, the DC suspended Panchayat Sevak Ramji Mahto, ANM Santoshi Kumari and MPWD Bijay Kumar besides, seeking a clarification from the SDO, DSO and the DEO stopping their salary as well till further orders.
According to the DC Santu Munda, father of Kamlesh Munda had died due to hunger in the 2003 and, thereafter, the responsibility of his two children was taken over by the administration.
