Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs Minister Saryu Roy has directed the officials to mark the houses of Antyodaya Anna Yojana beneficiaries. The Minister said that after the implementation of the National Food Security Act – 2013 in the State and the number of digitisation done, complaints are coming about ineligible persons getting benefits from the programme.
The Minister further added that the list of Antyodaya Anna Yojana has been fixed and eligibility criteria to get its benefits are also clear. “Best solution for this is that the houses of the beneficiaries may be marked boldly that this house comes under Antyodaya Anna Yojana. By doing this those households not fulfilling the criteria for the same will automatically be out of it,” he said.
In addition to that, a message will also be passed among the people and those households not fulfilling the criteria may try to get out of the list themselves. The Minster directed to execute the orders as soon as possible.
