PNS

Shiv Nath Yadav (55) and his son Guddu Yadav (28) were shot dead by CPI Maoists at village Kulheya under Harihurganj police station last night. The two were suspected by Maoists as TPC supporters. Indrajeet Mahatha, SP Palamu said Maoists squad was led by Nitesh who came from Bihar’s Tandwa and just within one kilometer inside Jharkhand’s Harihurganj struck this twin deaths.

Mahatha said, “There is a point that Nitesh and other Maoists sneak in Jharkhand that too half a kilometer or one kilometer inside Jharkhand from Bihar border, commit offence and sneak out from here.”

Sources said it was Nitesh and Co who had put afire 13 tractors at Pithoria under Pipra police station last week.  This Pithoria is also too close to Bihar. Sources said the burning of 13 tractors saw the air reaching of state DGP D K Pandey there.

Sources said this intrusion or infiltration of Maoists from Bihar in Jharkhand Palamu’s Harihurganj was discussed by DGP D K Pandey with ASP Aurangabad and officer in charge of Tandwa police station. Sources said the DGP had categorically asked the Bihar part to take all necessary steps to contain Maoists there.

Sources said the different political set ups in two adjoining states Bihar and Jharkhand has given these Maoists a rope way. Sources said in jHarkhand it is a battle cry against Maoists while in some pockets of Bihar like Aurangabad the Maoists are cozy settled.

Sources said a unilateral effort by Jharkhand side police may not bring in the most desired result unless co ordinate and augmented by Bihar side too.

Mahatha said these Maoists can be contained if the Bihar side too goes all out for them as Jharkhand police DG has pulled out all tops for them.

To a query if any anti naxal operation is on or not to which SP added ‘Anti naxal operation is on here in this axis of Jharkhand-Bihar border. It is being done by the central para military forces’.

Sources said CRPF’s anti naxal operations yield better results when it is assisted by the district police as district police are not only well acquainted with the topography of the area but also know the strength and weakness of he Maoists more.

On the killing of father son Mahatha said, "I went to the bereaved family.  I have spoken to the widows there. There will be relief packages for them."

He said more than three dozen youths met him there and wanted to have access to skill training which he has assured them.
