A sub zonal commander of CPI Maoist surrendered in latehar on Friday stated SP latehar Dhananjay Singh.
Speaking to The Pioneer SP latehar said, “This Maoist had a reward of 5 lakh on his head. He has 24 cases alone in latehar district. He has cases also in Palamu district.”
SP further added Damodar surrendered without any weapon.DIG of police Palamu Vipul Shukla was present during this surrender of this Maoist.
However he said police would fish out weapon on the basis of his confession.
SP reiterated the family of Damodar was persuaded to convince him to shun the path of extremism and here the work in this direction was done most carefully and sympathetically.
