PNS

Normal life all over the state remained affected on Friday as CPI (Maoists) called a 24 hour bandh against the killing of its Bihar Jharkhand Special Area Committee member Ashish Da during an encounter by the security forces in Gumla. Police of all the districts had been alerted in the wake of bandh called by the rebels.

“Though heavy vehicles did not ply on the roads on Friday in some of the Maoist affected areas, normal life remained unaffected all over the state,” claimed IG (Operations) and Jharkhand Police Spokesperson MS Bhatia. So far no untoward incident from any part of the State has been reported so far, he added.

long distance heavy vehicles did not ply even from the State capital due to which commuters had to face a lot of problems.
