PNS

As para-teachers all over the State went on strike from Saturday, education system was affected in the State, they claimed. President of Jharkhand Para Teachers Association, Sannay Kumar Dubey pressing his demands claimed that all the schools run by the Para teachers remain locked since since September 17.

“All the 18,000 new primary schools in the State are closed as all the 72,000 para teachers posted in various schools have gone on strike since Saturday,” said President of Para Teachers Association in Jharkhand, Sanjay Kumar Dubey.

He demanded that the Government should either regularise the eligible Para Teachers as regular ones by creating vacancies for them or terminate them those who were not eligible, added Dubey.

“The State Government has made all physical facilities like desk, uniform and books, available in the schools but is not at all concerned about the appointment of teachers,” Dubey said.

Joining hands with the Para teachers, President of BRP CRP Mahasangh Pankaj Shukla also announced that they will also go on strike from Monday. They will stage dhana at all the district headquarters.

School Education and literacy Secretary Aradhna Patnaik however, asserted that everything was normal in the state as regular teachers have been deputed in the schools where the Para Teachers were on strike.

“I have asked DSE’s in all districts to depute regular teachers in the schools where Para Teachers have gone on strike so that the teaching does not get affected,” said Patnaik.

She, however, said that the reports available to the

department indicate that only 15,000 Para Teachers, out of a total of 69,000 available all over the State, have gone on Strike while the rest were still on duty.

“No work no pay order has also been issued for the JEPC employees,” said Patnaik.
