Mahendra Singh martyrdom day observed at Bagodar in Giridih

SURESH NIKHAR

The 13th martyrdom anniversary of people’s hero Comrade Mahendra Singh was observed at Bagodar here on Monday. People and party members thronged in huge numbers at the Jan Martyrdom rally held at bus terminal ground to remember their beloved leader who led a fearless struggle against all odds. The rally was addressed by CPI (Ml) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya. He said that There is once again a situation similar to the past days, the promise of achhe din has changed to the reality of bure din and the Government has been working for the interest of corporate houses is being done in the name development, voice of poor famers, are being ruthlessly crushed. There is not a single deed accomplished by the Modi Government which can be said to be in favour of the poor. As the Dipankar Bhattacharya, CPI Ml, pointed out that the common people don’t have black money, they earn on a daily basis and spend on a daily basis.

“The Government may claim that poor people don’t have larger denomination notes and those who get their earnings on a weekly basis are obviously paid Rs500 and Rs1,000 notes. It is the day–to-day nature of such wage based work that has made demonetisation especially damaging to the unorganised sector,” he further added.
