The arrival of monsoon in Hazaribagh district is proving fatal for the innocent and illiterate villagers of the district. On first day of monsoon two deaths were registered while on second day it went up to four.
Two deaths were reported from Vishnugarh block of the district. Pokhan Ram and Jhuliya Devi, both husband and wife, died due to lightening when they were engaged in construction work of dobha in their village Kusumbha.
In another incident Gemshi Devi of Banka village of Katkamdag block was badly injured by lightening and in Sadar Hospital took her last breath during treatment.
Churaman Mahto of Mokhtama village of Ichak block also died today due to stroke of lightening.
