Under the joint aegis of Bar Association Hazaribag and Indian Association of Lawyers,the day long seminar of advocates was organized at Town Hall on Saturday.In the progarmme, Chief guest Ratnakar Bhengra Jharkhand High Court Judge, Justice Dr. SN Pathak, National University Vice Chancellor Dr. Keshwa Rao Varakula, State Bar Council member Abdul Kalam Rasidi, Hazaribagh Bar Association President and Jharkhand Bar Council member Raj Kumar Raju,Vice President Bhaiya Sanjay Sinha, General Secretary Suman Singh, Joint Secretary Pramod Singh, Treasurer Bharat Kumar, Indian Association of Lawyers District President Ghulam Jilani, Secretary Sambhu Prasad, Kauleshwar Kushwaha jointly inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
While addressing the seminar, Justice Ratnakar Bhengra said that advocates play an important role in strengthening the society.They should discharge their duties honestly. Recalling his college time, he shared his experience with the advocates and said that the new advocates should keep working hard.
Justice Dr. SN Pathak said that the Bar and the Bench are the two wheels of the judicial system.The role of advocate is important in nation building.He said that great freedom fighters Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar etc. were also an advocate in the freedom struggle, because of whom we got independence.One gets justice only by the pleadings given by the advocates in the court.
National Law University Vice Chancellor K R Varakulla said that advocates need to strengthen their self-confidence only then they will be able to be externally strong.He said that advocates develop their intellectual and inner strength, only then they can become a successful advocate.Hazaribag Bar Union President Raj Kumar Raju said in his address that the Bar and the Bench will have to work together for the development of the society and only then will justice be served.
