latehar police finally succeeded in laying hands on Rs 3 lakh of Maoists which was on way to be deposited with a nationalised bank at latehar. Sources said on November 18 one lakh of rupees was deposited with PNB latehar in account numbers 73480001.....0007786.
On November 21 there was another attempt to deposit Rs 3 lakhs of rupees which was foiled by the police. Three people with one lakh cash each have been arrested and jailed under sections of IPC, UAP ( Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) Act and 17 ClA Act.
The three arrested with one lakh cash each are Ravinder Yadav Anil Yadav and Ramjeet Yadav. The deposit planning was conceived at Dharampur locality in latehar. Ravinder Yadav alias Rahul is the area commander of Maoist and works for top Maoist Nakool Yadav and Subhash Yadav.
Ramjeet Yadav another supporter of Nakool Yadav and Subhash Yadav had dodged the police on November 18 when he
succeeded in depositing one lakh of rupees with PNB branch in latehar.DSP latehar Purshottam Kumar Singh said police recovered three cell phones.also.
Two of the three Anil and Ravinder hail from Palamu's Panki while Ramjeet comes from Herhunj in latehar district.
He agreed that this could be the tip of the iceberg but he reiterated that police are on high toes to foil any
deposit of huge cash of the Maoists in latehar.
