PNS

Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday said that the fruits of development must reach the last man of the State and for this one needs to work with full dedication and remove corruption from Jharkhand. The CM was interacting with villagers at Samresh village of Sonajori Panchayat in Pakur district during the Jan Chaupal programme.

“I have come here not to give a speech but to communicate with you. I have come to tell you that on December 28, 2018, 4 years of the State Government is being completed. Now it is my responsibility to inform you of the works done in last four years. The government will grant additional Rs 50 crore to Santhal Pargana aprt from the funds allocated in the budget. Santhal Paragana is backward and Pakur is also a backward district. I believe that the purpose for which the State was formed was not fulfilled. The politics of coalition lasted for 14 years, the leaders became wealthy and the people of the State were left behind,” said the CM addressing people.

The CM said that some people always played vote politics in Santhal Pargana. “They misguided the innocent residents of the State that our Government will snatch land of the poor and tribal people. But, in 4 years, the land of any poor, tribal or any other person was not looted. Ironically, the people who were saying this, they purchased the land of the poor tribal in violation of the CNT/SPT Act and encouraged middlemen and corruption in Santhal. People of Santhal Pargana have to understand this.

Together they have to change Santhal Pargana and Jharkhand. We do not do politics of racism, communalism, and division. The government is functioning with the goal that State's last person must be covered with development,” he added.

Responding to the query of one Shamma Khatun, Das said that in the Pakur Assembly Constituency, 1.6 lakh families have to be given the benefit of the Ujjwala scheme. In that direction 35, 787 families got the benefit of the scheme so far. 32 lakh families across the State have the benefit of the scheme. Jharkhand is the first state to provide stoves with gas cylinders. “In addition, 40, 451 toilets have been constructed in Pakur. In 2014, only 18 per cent Jharkhand was ODF. With the support of 7,000 Rani Mistry, Jal Sahiya and others of the state, moving from toilets to cleanliness, 99 per cent of Jharkhand is ODF in 4 years,” he said.

The CM said that for 14 years politics was played with the future of tribal youths. “The government defined the domicile policy. 95 per cent of the youth in the State were given jobs. In 4 years the government has covered 1 lakh people with employment. In the coming days, another 1 lakh other youth will be employed. Since Independence 32,000 villages of the State had no electricity. In the last 4 years 32,000 villages have been given electricity. By December 28, 2018, all the houses of the State will be covered with electricity. In addition, such houses or villages that are in remote areas or mountains, houses will be illuminated with solar power,” he said.

The CM also talked about women empowerment, farmers’ development, irrigation facilities, dairy farming, bee keeping and other allied works on the occasion.  He said that efforts are being made to give the government to such a system that the women of the state can roam 24 hours without fear. He also handed over benefits to the people eunder various development schemes. Rajmahal MLA Anant Ojha, former Minister Hemlal Murmu and Pakur DC and SP alongwith others were present on the occasion.
