Minister for Revenue and land Reforms Amar Kumar Bauri has accepted the need of high-level probe into the Government land scam in Hazaribagh district.

“I am convinced with the demand of SIT probe made by DC Mukesh Kumar and will support his demand,” said Bauri interacting with newsmen at local Circuit House on Monday in late evening.

Minister Amar Kumar Bauri was here to take part in a review meeting related to matters of land and revenue, organised at district headquarters.

He also inaugurated the online mutation and registration facility in all the 16 blocks of the district.

Talking to newsmen, Bauri said that many projects are going to start in Hazaribagh district and it is the duty of the Government to give every land owner requisite amount of compensation and the projects should go on smoothly.

Praising the district administration, he said that he is satisfied with the reports presented in the meeting.

In this meeting, the district administration cleared that no matter of land acquisition is pending for Shivpur-Kathautiya Railway line Project.

From Chordaha inter-State check post, four times more revenue has been collected so far in comparison to last year and Commissioner Veena Srivastava acquainted him with the development of probe done by committee constituted by State Government in the matter related with land acquisition and payment of compensation amount.

Speaking to media, Bauri said that during this review meeting he also went through the matter of land acquisition for NTPC Coal Projects and has directed the district administration to submit a list of all the circle officers, block development officers, revenue staff and other concerned staff posted in Katkamdag, Barkagaon and Keredari blocks since 2005 onwards because here with their connivance, Government land has been illegally transferred to those who were not entitled to it, only for making money by getting compensation.

“I have directed the officials to submit the list within a week so that probe can be started and the culprits should be punished,” he said
