Lalu’s health serious concern: Raghuvansh

PNS

Two former union ministers of RJD met Lalu Prasad’s at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on Saturday to enquire about his health following reports that high blood sugar and infection could pose serious problems for their party supremo.

Talking to media persons after the meeting, Raghuvansh Singh stated that Lalu’s health continues to be a matter of concern for them even though there is slight improvement on various parameters. He informed that his blood sugar level is under control while the sore on his knee, which could have caused infection in other parts of the body, is also healing.

Notably, minister of food and civil supplies Saryu Rai had in a letter written on November 20 requested Jharkhand Chief Secretary to send Lalu to super specialty center for treatment. Rai said that Dr Umesh Prasad who is treating Lalu has informed that the RJD leader was suffering from about one dozen diseases including diabetes, hypertension, kidney stones, chronic kidney disease depression and boil.

Speaking on political issues Singh alleged that law and order situation in Bihar has turned bad as major crimes are taking place in the state. Scams have also become frequent. “This government led by Nitish Kumar should be thrown out of power as soon as possible,” he said.

Speaking on RLSP, Singh said Upendra Kushwaha would eventually come to the mahagathbandhan though his stand on the issue is not clear at present.

Former Union Minister Kanti Singh stated that Lalu was looking very weak. She claimed that statements of CBI officials in recent days have shown how political leaders put pressure on investigating agency to target RJD supremo. People would give them proper reply in the elections, she said.

It may be stated here that Dr Umesh Prasad  on Saturday said Lalu’s health is showing improvement as blood report indicates that his sugar level and infection have declined. The improvement is however slow, he said.
