Garhwa Police sent PlV member Chanda Devi to jail on Saturday on charges of demanding extortion money, obstruct Government work and threatening Garhwa Sub Judge and Secretary of District leegal Service Authority Naim Ansari.
Ansarii had lodged an FIR and had accused Chanda Devi that on February 21 she came to his office and started threatening him. “You were going to get me out of the job, and now you should save your job. I have complained to the District Judge yesterday. If you want to save your job, give me Rs 5 lakh,” read the statement of Devi as narrated by Ansari in the FIR. Ansari charged that she also hampered Government work.
Garhwa Police filed an FIR swiftly against Chanda Devi under Sections of 189, 353, 387, 504 and 506 of IPC and sent her to jail.
Notably, Devi has filed an affidavit in the Principal District and Session Judge’s office and has accused to the Sub Judge for using filthy language and pressurising her to make physical relation.
