The family of Kishores in Nai Mohalla in Daltonganj did big things in hours of extreme sorrow and grief. The family avoided any public exhibition of tear shedding as the women members of this BJP family shouldered the ‘arthi’ (bier ) of the big lady of the house — the mother of three Kishore brothers Radha Raman Kishore (Dean, Social Science, NPU, Medininagar), Radha Krishan Kishore (BJP Chhaterpur MlA) and Radha Prem Kishore (DSP Jharkhand Police).

The daughter-in-law Poonam Kishore, associate professor department of History in a college in Ranchi Ranchi university and one granddaughter a graduate  from a prestigious institute gave ‘kandha’ to the bier of the mother of Kishores on Friday. ladies giving hand to a bier in conservative Palamu /Daltonganj has come as a whiff of fresh air said Ram Prasad who sells vegetables on cycle in Daltonganj.

BJP MlA Radha Krishan Kishore said, “We cremated our mother Saraswati Kuarn on December 25 as it was her birthday too.”

She had died on the night of December 23 itself. Her granddaughters and other members of the family wanted her cremation on her birthday! This Dalit BJP family is known for doing things normal human beings just want to skip said a family friend here.

Sources said in a place like Daltonganj where it is still a big taboo if women/girls reach shamshan ghat and to carry the body on arthi is something most daring and unthinkable this BJP family does this with ease and with no hesitation.

There can be no better example of women empowerment than this show of participation of women in the final passage to eternity here.  The deceased’s elder son in law V D Ram BJP MP Palamu maintained  a stoic endurance of pain on this occasion.
