In order to bring transparency in withdrawal of funds at the end of the financial year 2015-16, Principal Secretary Finance cum Planning Amit Khare on Thursday formed flying squads at divisional levels. All the treasuries in a division will be under the flying squads, which will expedite work in a transparent manner till March 31.

Khare said that during inspection officers in-charge of these flying squads will keep a vigil on the works in the treasuries.  If any irregularity is found during the inspections, the officials will immediately take cognizance of it. Also, the officials will keep photo copies of huge fund withdrawal related documents, which will be physically certified later during special audits.

The Finance Secretary has asked the Deputy Commissioners, Treasury Officers and other concerned officials to provide full cooperation to the flying squads in their work. He has also instructed to make arrangements for the flying squads at divisional headquarters.

Khare also made surprise inspection at Ranchi Treasury and asked the Treasury officer to follow the administrative orders. The Treasury officer told the secretary that as per the departmental orders only 15 per cent of the total allotment is being paid.

The Secretary sought papers of Welfare department, Ormanjhi CDPO, Road Construction and other departments and inspected them thoroughly.  After getting satisfactory inputs he instructed treasury staffs and officials to process the papers as per laws and avoid irregularities in passing bills.
