Annoyed over unfullfilled promises made by the Jharkhand Government, International Kabaddi star Vindhyavasini Sinha’s mother Indubala Sinha is all set to stage a protest on October 10  in front of the Raj Bhawan at Ranchi.

Vindhyavasini was one of the members in the Indian team that won the first women’s Kabbadi World Cup Championship by defeating Iran 25-19 in the final played in Patna in 2012 March.

“Honouring her, then deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahato had given a dummy cheque of Rs 10,000 and then Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda had announced cash prize of Rs 10 lakh for her but she is yet to get any reward from the Government side,” said Indubala.

“Our repeated request with the Jharkhand Governor are going in-vain. I am old and do not keep well. Now we are struggling against all odds to get Vindhyavasini her dues and justice. I am requesting again from the Government to solve my daughter’s issues at the earliest,” said Indubala Sinha.

Notably, the player had couple of months ago, did everything to get the attentions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and even managed to meet him after days of struggle. The CM had reportedly assured her assistance very soon but till date no reward has come to her.
