A leader of the Babulal Marandi’s party JVM(P) was shot dead at Balubhang in Balumath of latehar district on Wednesday night. Sources said the murder was a premeditated and and precisely executed leaving no chance for his survival. The deceased was identified as Nagendra Yadav. Confirming the murder, officer in-charge of the Balumath police station said the reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained. Police suspected that the murder could be the outcome of some old dispute or rivalry. However, they ruled out posibility of the political murder.
It is being seen in the backdrop of a contract that Yadav had bagged recently. Sources said the profit could have been the bone of contention. Nagendra Yadav was attacked when he was was heading back his house in Bariyatu after having his dinner at a friend’s residence at Balubhang. The assailants were waiting to trap him at Gamhariya tola and shot him dead. The body was sent for post mortem in latehar District hospital. A murder case was registered against unknown persons at Balubhang police station. Investigations were on.
