JVM blames Govt for diluting Assembly

PNS

JVM has alleged that the BJP-led government in the State was failing the Constitutional institutions including the Assembly while charging it for deliberately not calling the Winter Session this time.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday JVM legislative body leader in the House Pradeep Yadav quoting officials with the State Government claimed that the Government was afraid of its own MLAs.

“BJP regimes have been denigrating Constitutional institutions. Here in Jharkhand, it is for the first time, barring once in 2014 due to polls, the Government has decided to skip the Winter session, as I am told. It has been called before December 15 all the time and a notification for this has to take place 14 days in advance. But there is no word from the Government till date,” said the MLA.

He alleged that the Government was under pressure from its own MLAs who are agitated over para-teacher issue, school merger plan and several others. Yadav added that the Government feared of the No-confidence Motion. “We will surely bring the Motion and since the Government fearing to lose the session is not being called,” said he and added the party would hit the streets if the House is not convened before December 15.

Nevertheless Principal Secretary of Cabinet Coordination Department SKG Rahate said that there may be a decision to call the session during the Thursday’s Cabinet meeting. “Winter session would not be skipped. Perhaps it would be decided in Cabinet meeting scheduled for day after tomorrow,” Rahate informed.
