JUVNl MD Rahul Purvar held a review meeting with the officials of the energy department here on Wednesday, where he reviewed the work being done to repair the electricity system of the district. He also gave necessary directions to the officials during the meeting.
The MD said that the construction of two sub-stations in urban area and nine new sub-stations and in the rural areas of the district is in progress. By December 2018, the construction of Bhagodih grid will also be completed. For the connectivity of the grid, the work of pillar construction in the rivers is delayed due to rain. After the water is depleted in the river, the work will be started and the Bhagodih grid will be connected to the National Grid.
The district will get uninterrupted power from March 2019.
He informed that the work of electrifying 862 villages of the district is complete. But, 50 per cent of the work to provide electricity to all the households is remaining. To connect Garhwa District to the National grid renovation of wire, transformer etc. is going on so without any fault 33 kV line connecting to the grid. Superintending Engineer Dhananjay Kumar, executive engineer Rajesh , Assistant Engineer Ramashis and others officials were present in the meeting.
