The wait gets longer for all those candidates who took the 6th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examination last year on December18 as the Commission is yet to receive official communication from the Department of Personnel, Administrative reforms and Rajbhasa on the decision the Government has taken in this regard.

“The commission is yet to receive the letter from the concerned Department with all mandatory clauses. Only after receiving the letter, revised result will be published. At this moment, it is not possible to predict that how long the procedure will linger further but after getting the letter, the commission will try to speed up the process and will declare the result at the earliest,” said JPSC’s Controller of Examination Vivek Narayan Akhaury on Sunday.

On the other hand, unsatisfied with the Cabinet decision, JPSC aspirants are planning for massive protest against the State government’s “hegemony” on April 27 during the Assembly session. Notably, the Cabinet recently considering the students protest had decided to recommend JPSC to publish the revised result of the CS exam that got engulfed in several controversies after the preliminary test results were declared.

Candidates who have been waiting for the dialogue with the senior State government officials to clarify their stance against alleged irregularities are discontented with the cabinet decision on several grounds.

“The State government decision to revise the sixth preliminary test results is just a bluff to hold back the result for some more time. The reservation criteria on which the government has taken up the decision will not resolve our issues,” said student union leader Manoj Yadav.

Yadav further added that the Cabinet decision that was mere an attempt to suppress their agitation as the officials are familiar that if the demands are not fulfilled then approximately 10,000 students will raise their voice against the incompetency of the State government recruitment process putting the governance at stake. last year on December 18, 74,000 aspirants had appeared for JPSC civil services prelims, of

which 5,138 have been selected for mains for 330 posts.

The candidates have been demanding to declare result category wise, uploading the cut-off marks for each section on website along with admitting all the scheduled tribe (ST), scheduled caste (SC) and other backward caste (OBC) students who have obtained 206 marks under general category cut-off marks only.
